One day, his old father expresses his wish to have a cup of sake.As he could not afford it , he gets up earlier than usual and starts chopping wood in other to fulfill his beloved father's wish. he hears water falling and goes to drink it only to realize that it is sake. He brings it home happily and gives it to his father and mother. When the villagers came to know about it they to went to taste the sake, but it tasted usual water to them, and soon they realized only Taro got the sake because he is a thoughtful son.
