ASDA is a supermarket in UK and it the second largest.  It had recruited for 27,000 jobs and applying for this job is simple as far as its procedures are concerned.

It has two format applications. One is a job description and other one is the personal specification.  These give the HR team to shortlist the candidates and to give them training.  For Internal recruitment, it uses an Appraisal Form.

ASDA gives training to all the new recruits and it has three stages. “Step In, Step On and Step Up” Each stage is one step higher in one’s career. It also invests in its employees doing their B.A. honours in “retail and distribution” and in other courses of the employee’s interest.

Weakness could be, not all will be best-fit and as humans, selection process will have error.  Every candidate will not be open with regard to their personal qualities.  Selection process is “it allows the individual to demonstrate their strength which aligns with ASDA “.  Anyone who knows this organisation can easily lie for the job.
