Frequency emitted by taut string is 405 Hz

Explanation:

Given :

Frequency of violin f_{v} = 400 Hz

Frequency of tuning fork f_{t} = 400 Hz

No. of beats = 5

From the formula of speed of waves in string,

   v = \sqrt{\frac{T}{\mu} }

Where v = speed of wave,

And from above formula we can say that frequency of the wave is increase as tension increase     ( v = f \lambda )

Thus new emitted frequency is grater than 400 Hz

 f_{n} = 400 +5

 f_{n} = 405 Hz
