once water enter through root hairs, it can move deeper into root layers by below pathways:

Water is absorbed along with mineral present in soil with the help of root hairs. It falicitates diffusion. Due to presence of ions the absorption of water taken place. When soil has water(high pressure) then these water molecules are sucked up by roots(less pressure).. :)
