Given,

» Total money collected = Rs. 1156
• Let the number of student in the class be 'x', then,
» Number of students in class = Money paid by each student = x
Now according to the question,
⌬ Number of Students × Money Paid by each student = Total money collected.
⌬ x × x = 1156
⌬ x² = 1156
• Hence, the number of students and money paid by each student = x = 34

For verification we need to simply apply the values, we got, into the equation we formed. Then,
⌬ x² = 1156
⌬ (34)² = 1156
⌬ 34 × 34 = 1156
⌬ 1156 = 1156
