the students of class 8 of a school donated Rs 2401 in all for Prime Minister's national relief fund .each student donated as many rupees as the number of student in the class. find the number of student in the class

According to the problem, the amount donated by each student is equal to the number of students.. So the amount paid will be;
Square root of 2401 (because if the number of students be x then the total amount would be x^2)
SO Sq root of 2401=49;

No. of students = Amount each student donated

If "one" student donated 'x' rupees,
then "one × 'x" students donated "x × 'x" rupees.

~ x^2 = 2401
~ x = √2401

~ x = 39

therefore,
~ no. of students = 39
~ Amount each student donated = 39.
