Given :-

  • The substance having a density of 0.8g/cm3 has a mass of 64 gram .

To find :-

  • Volume substance

Solution :-

  • Density of substance = 0.8 g/cm³

  • Mass of substance = 64 g

As we know that

→ D = m/V

Where " D " is density, " m " is mass and " V " is volume of substance.

  • According to question

→ Density = Mass/Volume

→ 0.8 = 64/V

→ 8/10 = 64/V

  • Cross multiplication

→ 8 × V = 10 × 64

→ 8V = 640

→ V = 640/8

→ V = 80 cm³

Hence,

  • Volume of substance is 80cm³

More to unit :-

  • C.G.S unit of density is g/cm³

  • S.I unit of density is kg/m³

ɢɪᴠᴇɴ :-

  • The density of a substance = \tt 0.8g/cm^3
  • Mass of the substance = 64 grams

ᴛᴏ ꜰɪɴᴅ :-

  • Volume of the substance

ꜱᴏʟᴜᴛɪᴏɴ :-

\large {\underline{\boxed {\red{ \tt{density = \frac{mass}{volume} }}}}}

\tt{density = \frac{mass}{volume}}

\tt{0.8 = \frac{64}{V}}

\tt{\frac{8}{10}= \frac{64}{V}}

\tt 8 × V = 10 × 64

\tt 8V = 640

\tt V = 640/8

\tt V = 80 cm^3

Hence, The volume of substance is \green{ \underline{ \boxed{ \sf{80 \;cm^3}}}}
