TO FIND :

The two numbers


SOLUTION :

Let the smaller no. be x

Greater no. = 3x + 8


A.T.Q.

=> x + 3x + 8 = 60

=> 4x = 60 - 8

=> x = 52/4

=> x = 13

The smaller no. is 13

Greater no. = 3x + 8

=> 3 × 13 + 8

=> 39 + 8

=> 47
