Hey

Here is your answer,

Let the consecutive even natural numbers be x , x+2 , x+4.

Given that,
X + x + 2 + x + 4 = 48.
3x + 6 = 48
3x = 42
X = 14

X+2 = 14+2 = 16
X + 4 = 14+4 = 18

Therefore the greatest of the numbers is 18.

Hope it helps you!

Let the consecutive number be x.
Let the second consecutive even number be x+2
Let the third consecutive even number be x+4.

Therefore,

 = > x + x + 2 + x + 4 = 48 \\ = > 3x + 6 = 48 \\ = > 3x = 48 - 6 \\ = > 3x = 42 \\ = > x = \frac{42}{3} \\ = > x = 14

Therefore
Second consecutive number= x+2
= 14 + 2
= 16

Third consecutive number= x+4
= 14 + 4
=18

So comparing the three: 14,16 and 18, 18 is the greatest.....
