Let the first number be 4a

Second number = 4a + 4

Third number = 4a + 8

According to question

4a + 4a + 4 + 4a +8 = 60

=> 12a + 12 = 60

=> 12a = 48

=> a = 4

First number = 16

Second number = 20

Third number = 24

Let the first number be 'a'

therefore the second number is 'a + 4'

and the third is 'a + 8'

the sum = 60
a + a + 4 + a + 8 = 60
3a + 12 = 60
3a = 60 - 12 = 48
a = 48/3 = 16

Ans. first number = a = 16
second number = a + 4 = 16 + 4 = 20
third number = a + 8 = 16 + 8 = 24
