Let smallest multiple be x

so others two are x + 6 , x + 12

by the condition given in your question we get equation

x + x + 6 + x + 12 = 666

3x + 18 = 666

3x = 648

x = 648/3

x = 216

x + 6 = 222

x + 12 = 228

so three multiples are 216 , 222 , 228

Given - Sum

Find - Multiples

Solution - Let the three consecutive multiples be x, x+6 and x+12. Forming mathematical expression as per the given information -

x + x + 6 + x + 12 = 666

Performing addition

3x + 18 = 666

Shifting 18 to Right Hand Side and performing subtraction

3x = 666 - 18

3x = 648

Shifting 3 to Right Hand Side and performing division

x = 648/3

x = 216

First multiple = x

First multiple = 216

Second multiple = x + 6

Second multiple = 216 + 6

Performing addition

Second multiple = 222

Third multiple = x + 12

Third multiple = 216 + 12

Performing addition

Third multiple = 228

Hence, the three consecutive multiples are 216, 222 and 228.
