Answer:

LET THE THREE TERMS OF AN A.P BE A-D, A, A+D RESPECTIVELY.

ACCORDING TO GIVEN CONDITION,

a-d+a+a+d=21

3a=21

a=21/3

a=7

ACCORDING TO 2ND CONDITION,

(a-d)(a+d) = a+6

(7-d)(7+d) = 7+6

(7)² - (d)² = 13 [ (a+b)(a-b) = (a)²- (b)² ]

49 - d² = 13

-d² = 13 - 49

-d² = -36

d² = 36

d = 6 [Taking square root on both the sides]

therefore the three terms are

a-d=7-6=1

a=7

a+d=7+6=13

ANS:- THE THREE TERMS OF AN A.P IS 1,7 AND 13 RESPECTIVELY.
