let multiples of 4 be..
x,x+4,x+8


x+x+4+x+8=252
3x+ 12=252
3x=252-12
3x=240
x=240/3
x=80

dhirendra1419: Let the three consecutive multiples of 4 be- 4(x-1), 4x and 4(x+1)

Adding them, 4x -4 + 4x + 4x +4 = 444

12x = 444
x= 37
The three consecutive multiples are -
4*37 = 148
4*(37-1)= 144
4*(37+1) = 152.

let the first number be x.
second number= x +4
third number = x+4+4 = x+8
a/q     x+ x+ 4+ x + 8= 252
       ⇒ 3x +12 = 252
       ⇒ 3x = 252- 12
      ⇒ x = 240/3
       ∴ x = 80
so first number = 80
second number = 80+4 = 84
third number = 80+8 = 88
80 + 84+ 88 = 252
so 80, 84 and 88 are the 3 consecutive multiples of 4 whose sum is 252.
