second number= x +4
third number = x+4+4 = x+8
a/q x+ x+ 4+ x + 8= 252
⇒ 3x +12 = 252
⇒ 3x = 252- 12
⇒ x = 240/3
∴ x = 80
so first number = 80
second number = 80+4 = 84
third number = 80+8 = 88
80 + 84+ 88 = 252
so 80, 84 and 88 are the 3 consecutive multiples of 4 whose sum is 252.
