Answer :
The greatest number is 17.
Step-by-step explanation :
Let the four consecutive numbers be x , x + 2, x + 4, and x + 6 respectively.
According to the question ;
x + x + 2 + x + 4 + x + 6 = 56
⇒ 4x + 12 = 56
⇒ 4x = 56 - 12
⇒ 4x = 44
⇒ x = 44 / 4
⇒ x = 11
Therefore, the four consecutive numbers are:
• x = 11
• x + 2 = 11 + 2 = 13
• x + 4 = 11 + 4 = 15
• x + 6 = 11 + 6 = 17
Hence, out of these numbers 17 is the greatest number.

Solution:-
Let the 4 Consecutive Numbers be x, x+2 , x+4 and x+6.
A.T.Q.
x + x + 2 + x + 4 + x +6 = 56
=> 4x + 12 = 56
=> 4x = 56 - 12
=> 4x = 44
=> x = 11
Hence, The Numbers are :-
x = 11
x+2 = 13
x+4 = 15
x+6 = 17.
Hence, The Largest Number is 17.
EXPLANATION:-
I have taken "x" as a odd Number are with it other Numbers are even Numbers.
This is bcoz, we know that
ODD + ODD = EVEN
ODD + EVEN = ODD.
Here, we need the odd Numbers. Hence, we have taken Even Number with the Odd one.
