Hi Raj ,

a+(n-1)d = represents nth term of an AP
so

a+3d+a+7d = 24
2a+10d = 24
a+5d = 12

a+5d+a+19d = 44
2a+24d = 44
a+12d = 22

solving above two equations, we get
a= 34/7
d = 10/7

Hope it helped
Let me know if any other doubts.
Cheers !!!
