heya mate!!!

here,

let the units digit be x and ten's digit be y.

hence,

the number = 10x+ y

now,

x+y= 8......(1)

also,

number formed by reversing the digits= 10y+x

accordingly,

(10x+y)-(10y+x)= 18

10x+y- 10y-x= 18

9x- 9y= 18

dividing by 9,

x- y= 2........(2)

Adding both equations,

x+y= 8

+ x- y= 2

2x = 10

hence,

x= 10/2= 5

substituting value of x in (2),

x-y= 2

5-y= 2

-y= 2-5

-y= -3

y= 3

hence,

digits are 5 and 3

now,

number= 10x+y= 10× 5+ 3= 50+3= 53

Checking:

  • sum of digits= 8= 5+3
  • original number - number formed by reversing digits= 18.

53-35= 18

hope this helps!! ❤☺✌

Hii dear
here is ur answer

Let,
the units place be = x
the 2-digit no. be (8 - x)
the original no. = 10 × ( 8 - x ) + x
= 80 - 9x
By reversing the digit the new Nos. = 10 × x + ( 8 - x )
→ 10x + 8 - x
→ 9x + 8
According to the question
New no. = original no. - 18
9x + 8 = 80 - 9x - 18
→ 9x + 9x = 54
→ 18x = 54
→ x = 54/18
→ x = 3
Therefore,
the 2-digit no. is = (8 - 3) = 5
And the original no. is = 53

hope it helps u .

Thankyou.
