Let the number be x.

Two-third of the number = 2x/3

ATP,

x + 2x/3 = 20

5x/3 = 20

5x = 60

x = 60/5

x = 12

The number is 12.

Answer :

12

Explanation :

If we assume the number as \rm x

We can say that,

Sum of \rm x and ⅔ of \rm x is 20

According to the question,

\rm \implies \:x +  { \dfrac{2x}{3} }  = 20  \\

\rm \implies \:  \frac{3x + 2x}{3}   = 20 \\

\rm \implies \: 3x + 2x = 20 \times 3 \\

\rm \implies \: 5x = 60 \\

\rm \implies \: x =  \frac{60}{5}  \\

\rm \implies \: x = 12 \\
