Number so Obtained is 26

Step-by-step explanation:

Let us suppose the digits be x and y respectively.

x+y = 8

We know that the resulting number after digit reversing is exceeding the number by a value of 36.

The number is 10x + y and after interchanging it will be x+10y

10x + y + 36 = x + 10y

⇒ 9x + 36 = 9y

⇒ x = y - 4

and it is given that x = 8 - y

so y - 4 = 8 - y

2y = 12

⇒ y = 6

⇒ x = 2

so the number is 26
