Let the number be: (10*y)+x       (Since, 82=10*8+2)

And the bigger digit be y

If the digits  are reversed, the new number is (10*x)+y

Now, 10y+x+10x+y=66

y+x=6

and y-x=2

So, y=4

and x=2

Hence, the number is 42.
