Answer:

96 (or) 69

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the digit at units place be x and the digit at tens place be y.

Then the number be 10y + x.

Number obtained by reversing the digits is 10x + y.

According to the given condition, we get

(10x + y)(10y + x) = 165

x + y = 15  ---- (1)

It is given that difference of the digits is 3.

x - y = ±3.

Now,

(1)

x + y = 15

x - y = 3

---------------

2x = 18

x = 9.

Substitute x = 9 in (1), we get

x + y = 15

9 + y = 15

y = 6.

Hence, the number is 96.

(ii)

x + y = 15

x - y = -3

---------------

2x = 12

x = 6.

Substitute x = 6, we get

x + y = 15

6 + y = 15

y = 9

Hence, the number is 69.

Therefore, the numbers are 96 (or) 69.

Hope it helps!
