then,
X+Y=60
after 14years sum of father's age and, son's X+Y=60+14×2
X+Y=60+28

Y=3X
putting value of Y in (1)
X+Y=88
X+3X=88
4X=88
X=22
Now,putting value of X in (1)
X+Y=88
22+Y=88
Y=88-22
Y=66
son's age (X)=22
father's age (Y)=66
