Step-by-step explanation:

Suppose present age of father be = a

son age = 60-a

according to question after 14 years

Father age = (a+14) years

son age = (60-a+14)

= (60+14-a)

= (74-a)

a + 14 = 3(74 - a) \\ a + 14 = 222 - 3a \\ a + 3a = 222 - 14 \\ 4a = 208 \\ a = 208 \div 4 \\ a = 52 \\ father \: present \: age \: = 52 \: years \\ \\ son \: present \: age \: = 60 - 52 \\ = 8 \: years.

therfore ,

Father age = 52 years

son age = 8 years
