Let the face values of seven digit number be a, b, c, d, e, f and g

Thus   Number  = a*1000000 + b*100000 + c*10000 + d*1000 + e*100 + f*10 + g

Thus according to question

a + b + c + d + e + f + g = 28

We need to find     d * f = ?
  
d + f = 28 - (a+b+c+e+g)
d = 28 - (a+b+c+e+g) - f
Thus

d *f = [28 - (a+b+c+e+g) - f ] * f
       = 28f - (28 - d - f ) f- f^2
0 = 28f - 28f +f
