father's age is = X
son's age is=y
first condition
x+2y=70
second conditions
2x+y=90

eq.1 multiply by 2
x+2y=70. x 2

2x+ 4y=140.

sabstract equation 1 from 2
2x +4y=140.
-2x+y=90
-. -. -
___________
0+2y=50
2y=50
y=50÷2
y=25

put y= 25 in equation 1
x+2y=70
x+2(25)=70
x+50=70
x=70-50
x=30
