the sum of five consecutive even number is 1580.What is the product of the largest and smallest even numbers

Let the first even number be x+2
Let the second even number be x+4
Let the third even number be x+6
Let the forth even number be x+8
Let the fifth even number be x+10

Sum of these gives 1580
therefore, x+2+x+4+x+6+x+8+x+10=1580
5x+30=1580
5x=1580-30
x=1550/5
x=310

Therefore smallest number is x+2
= 310+2=312
And the largest number is x+10
=310+10=320
Their product:
312*320=99840 Ans.
