Answer:

let the five consecutive numbers are x,x+1,x+2,x+3,x+4.

and their sum is 2275

now,

x+x+1+x+2+x+3+x+4=2275

5x+10=2275

5x=2275-10

5x=2265

x=2265/5

x=453.

Solution :-

Let us assume that, five consecutive number are x, (x + 1), (x + 2), (x + 3) and (x + 4) .

So,

→ Sum of five consecutive numbers = 2275

then,

→ x + (x + 1) + (x + 2) + (x + 3) + (x + 4) = 2275

→ 5x + 10 = 2275

→ 5x = 2275 - 10

→ 5x = 2265

→ x = 453

therefore,

→ Sum of the largest and the smallest = x + (x + 4) = (2x + 4) = 2 * 453 + 4 = 906 + 4 = 910 (Ans.)
