Given :

• The sum of four consecutive numbers = 22

Let,

• The four Consecutive numbers = x, x+1, x+2, x+3

According to the question by substituting those values we get,

$\sf \implies \: (x) \: + \: (x + 1) \: + \: (x + 2) \: + \: (x + 3) \: = \: 22$

$\sf \implies \: x \: + \: x + 1 \: + \: x + 2 \: + \: x + 3 \: = \: 22$

$\sf \implies \:4x + 6 \: = \: 22$

$\sf \implies \:4x \: = \: 22 - 6$

$\sf \implies \:4x \: = \: 16$

$\displaystyle\sf \implies \:x \: = \: \cancel \frac{16}{4}$

$\displaystyle\sf \implies \:x \: = \: \frac{4}{1}$

$\displaystyle\bf \implies \: \red{x \: = \: 4}$

Now,

➠ First number = x = 4

➠ Second number = x+1 = 4+1 = 5

➠ Third number = x+2 = 4+2 = 6
