Let the fraction be a/b

According to question
a + b = 4 + 2a
b - a = 4
Multiply both sides by 2
2b - 2a = 8 ———-(1)

If numerator and denominator is increased by 3 then their ratio is 2 : 3
(a + 3) / (b + 3) = 2/3
3a + 9 = 2b + 6
3a - 2b = -3 ———(2)

Add equations (1) and (2)
2b - 2a + 3a - 2b = 8 - 3
a = 5

Substitute a = 5 in equation (1)
2b - 2a = 8
2b - 2*5 = 8
2b = 8 + 10
2b = 18
b = 9

Fraction is a/b = 5/9
