let numerator be x
so denominator is 12-x
then,add 1 in both
the numerator is x+1
and denominator is 12-x+1
and given new fraction is 3/4
By question,
or, x+1/12-x+1=3/4
4 (x+1)=3 (12-x+1)
4x+4=36-3x+3
4x+3x=36+3-4
7x=35
x=35/7
x=5
so, numerator is 5
and denominator is 12-5=7
the fraction is 5/7

let numerator be x

so denominator is 12-x

then,add 1 in both

the numerator is x+1

and denominator is 12-x+1

and given new fraction is 3/4

By question,

or, x+1/12-x+1=3/4

4 (x+1)=3 (12-x+1)

4x+4=36-3x+3

4x+3x=36+3-4

7x=35

x=35/7

x=5

so, numerator is 5

and denominator is 12-5=7

Therefore the fraction is 5/7(ans)
