let father age be x

let son age be y

by condition 1

  1. x+y=60
  2. x-6=5(y-6)
  • x=60-y

substitute in eq2

60-y-6=5y-30

60-6+30=5y+y

84=6y

y=16

substitute

x+16=60

x=44

the father age is 44years and son age is 16years
