Hey mate :-

Answer:

The present age of A is 52 years and present age of B is 16 years

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the present age of A be a and present age of B be b

Given ; The sum of present ages of A and B is68 yrs

i.e , a + b = 68 --- ( i )

And , 2 years hence ,

the age of A will be a + 2

that of B will be b + 2

given , 2 yrs hence A's age will be 3 times that of B's age

a + 2 = 3 ( b + 2 )

a + 2 = 3b + 6

a - 3b = 4 --- ( ii )

[ refer to the attachment ]

hence , b = 16

so, a = 68 - 16 = 52

so, The present age of A is 52 years and present age of B is 16 years
