Let the no of notes of ₹100 denomination be x

Let the no of notes of ₹500 denomination be y

Total no of notes =50

x+y=50

Total sum of ₹100 and ₹500 denomination =9000

100x+500y=9000

I took the total sum to be 9000 as 90000 would result in decimal values which is not possible to have since x and y must be whole no. as they are no of notes.
