Let number are 7x and (7x + 7)

According to the question,

(7x)² + (7x + 7)² = 637

49x² + 49x² + 49 + 98x = 637

98x² + 98x = 637 - 49

98x² + 98x = 588

x² + x = 6

x² + x - 6 =0

x² + (3 - 2)x - 6 =0

x² + 3x - 2x - 6 = 0

x(x + 3) -2(x + 3) = 0

(x - 2)(x + 3) = 0

x = 2 or - 3

Taking positive value, x= 2

=============

Required multiples are

7x = 7(2)=14
7x + 7 = 14 + 7 = 21

I hope this will help you

Let the multiples be 7x, 7x+7

ACCORDING TO QUESTION:

(7x)²+(7x+7)²=637

49x²+49x²+98x+49=637

98x²+98x+49-637=0

98x²+98x-588=0

98(x²+x-6)=0

x²+x-6=0

x²+3x-2x-6=0

x(x+3)-2(x+3)=0

(x+3)(x-2)=0

x+3=0
x=-3 (rejected as it is negative)

x-2=0
x=2

=============================

MULTIPLES ARE:

7x=7×2=14
7x+7=7×2+7=14+7=21

=============================

So the multiples are 14 and 21

HOPE THIS HELPS YOU ☺
