Step-by-step explanation:

given..... t4 + t8 = 24 and t6 + t10 = 44

t4 = a + 3d

t8 = a + 7d

t4 + t8 = a + 3d + a + 7d

24 = 2a + 10d

24 = 2 ( a + 5d )

a + 5d = 12... ( equation 1 )

t6 = a + 5d

t10 = a + 9d

t6 + t10 = a + 5d + a + 9d

44 = 2a + 14d

44 = 2 ( a + 7d )

a + 7d = 22.... ( equation 2 )

equation 1 - equation 2

a + 5d - ( a + 7d ) = 12 - 22

a + 5d - a - 7d = - 10

-2d = -10

2d = 10

d = 5....

a + 5d = 12

a + 5 ( 5 ) = 12

a = 12 - 25

a = - 13.....

first 3 terms of AP = a , a+d , a + 2d

= -13 , -13 + 5 , -13 + 10

first 3 terms of AP = -13 , - 8 , - 3.

hope it helps.....
