Answer:

5 : 3

Step-by-step explanation:

Age of father = x

Age of son = y

=> x+y = 100

5 years ago, their age will be

x-5 and y-5

Sum of their ages 5 years ago will be 100-5-5=90 years

Ratio= 2:1

=> 2m + m = 90

=> m = 30 years, 2m = 60 years

Thus,

Current age=>

x= 60+5 = 65 years

y = 30 +5 = 35 years

After 10 years---->

x = 65 + 10 = 75 years

y = 35 + 10 = 45 years

Ratio of ages---->

x : y = 75 : 45

= 15 : 9

= 5 : 3

So option (a) 5:3 will be the correct answer
