The sum of the ages of 10 children born at the intervals of 3 years each is 80 years. what is the age of the youngest child?

Let the age of the 10 children be x,(x+3),(x+6),(x+9),(x+12),(x+15),(x+18),(x+21),(x+24),and (x+27)

According to the question,
x+(x+3)+(x+6)+(x+9)+(x+12)+(x+15)+ (x+18)+(x+21)+(x+24)+ (x+27)=80
=>10x+135=80
=>10x=80-135
=>x= -55/10
=>x= -5.5

As the answer is -ve, the youngest child will born in 5.5 Years.
