the answer is

So the question has asked to add all the even numbers between 5 to 100 for which we will not

take 100 in this case.

So the sequence..

6,8,10,12,14,16,18..........98.

  1. a=6,d=2,an=98,n=?

Formula to find the answer: -

an=a+(n-1)d

98=6+(n-1)2

98-6=(n-1)2

92=(n-1)2

92/2=(n-1)

46=(n-1)

n=46+1=47

hence there are 47 terms.

Now we all know that sum of n terms = Sn=n/2 (a+an)

So according to the equation..

sum of 47 terms = (47/2)(6+98)

=(23.5)(104)

=2444

Hence your answer is 2444.

HOPE IT HELPS YOU MATE!!!!..
