Let 1kg of pine-apple be x
Then cost of of 1kg of apple is 2x

x + 2x = 150
3x = 150
x = 150/3
x = 50

Cost of 1kg pine-apple is x
=₹50
Cos of 1kg apple is 2x
=₹100

Solution :

Let the cost of 1kg apple = Rsx

cost of 1kg pine-apples = Rsy

According to the problem given,.

x + y = Rs 150 ---( 1 )

and

cost of 1kg apple is twice the cost

of 1kg pine-apples.

x = 2y ---( 2 )

Therefore ,

Required pair of linear equations in

two variables are ,

x + y = 150 ---( 1 )

x = 2y -----( 2 )
