let the one's place digit be x
ten's place digit =10-x
original number =(10-x) *10+x
=100-10x+x
=100-9x
new number = x*10+10-x
=9x+10
according to the question
9x+10=100-9x+54
or9x+9x=100-10+54
or18x=90+54
or18x=144
orx =144/18
x =8
therefore,100-9(8)
100-72=28
the answer is 28
