Let the number be 10x+y.

x+y = 9, or x = 9-y …(1)

(10y+x) = 3(10x+y)-9 or

10y+x = 30x+3y-9

29x = 7y+9

29(9-y) = 7y+9

261 - 29y = 7y + 9

252 = 36y

please follow me so that I can help you with other subjects also

y = 252/36 = 7

x = 9–7 = 2

So the number is 27.
