Step-by-step explanation:

let the two digit no.= 10x + y

=> x + y = 15 ----> (i)

On interchanging the digits, we have : 10y + x

According to the question,

=>10y + x = 10x + y +9

=> 9y - 9x = 9

=> y -x = 1

=> y = 1 + x ---> (ii)

from (i) we have

x + y = 15

=>x + 1 + x = 15 {using (ii)}

=> 2x + 1 = 15

=> 2x = 14

=> x = 7

and y = 1 + 7 {from (ii)}

=> y = 8

The numbers are:

10x + y = 78

10y + x = 87
