the sum of the digits of a two digit number is 8.if the digit are reversed.the new number increase by 18.find the number​

let the digits are x and y where x is on tens place and y is on unit place

x + y =8.....(1)

if digits are reversed then

10y + x = 10x+y +18

9y-9x = 18

y-x = 2.....(2)

by adding (1) and (2)

x+y+y-x = 8+2

2y = 10

y = 5

put this value in (1)

x+y=8

x+5 = 8

x=8-5 =3

x = 3 and y= 5

hence the two digit number is= 35
