The sum of the digits of a two-digit number is 8. The ones digit is three times the tens

Let the once digit number be x and the tens digit number be y.

Therefore x=3y and x+y =8

applying x=3 y,in x+y=8

therefore y+3y =8. 4y=8 and y=2.y=2in x=3y

we get x=2*3=6

there for the number is 26
