The sum of the digits of a two digitted number is 4 if the digit in the unit's place is subtracted from the didit in the ten's place then remainder is 2. find the number

let the no in unit place be y.
and the no in tens place be x.
according to condition,
x+y=4..............(1)
x-y=2................(2)
by adding (1) and (2), we get,
x=3 and y=1
therefore the number is 31.

Let the tens digit number be x.
Then, ones digit number = x-2.
As per the question,
x+(x-2)=4
=>x+x-2=4
=>2x=4+2
=>2x=6
=>x=6/2
=>x=3
Then, x-2=3-2=1
Hence, the 2-digit number = 31

Check: 3+1=4
