The sum of the first 16 terms of the ap 10,6,2,..... is ?

Formula:-

an = a + (n - 1) d

\huge\rm{ Solution:- }

A.p:- 10,6,2,...

n = no. of therms = 16

a = first term = 10

d = common difference = a2-a1 = 6-10 = (-4)

Therefore,

16th term = a + (n - 1) d

=> 10 + (16 - 1) (-4)

=> 10 + (15)(-4)

=> 10 + (-60)

=> (-50)

Therefore,

\boxed{ 16th \:  term = (-50) }
