Step-by-step explanation:

let numerator be x

and denominator be y

then x+y=4+2y

x-y-4=0-->(1)

if both numerator and denominator are increased by 3,they are in the ratio 2:3

x+3/y+3=2/3

3x+9=2y+6

3x-2y+3=0-->(2)

now,solve (1) and (2),we get

multiply equation(1) by 2

equation(1)becomes,

1*2--> 2x-2y-8=0

2-->. 3x-2y+3=0

-x-11=0

x=-11

substitute x=-11 in equation(1)to get y,

x-y-4=0

-11-y-4=0

-y=15

y=-15

therefore x=-11 and y =-15.
