so according to first condition

numerator+denominator=2×numerator+4

ie x+y=2x+4

so y=x+4 (1)

according to the second condition

x+3/y+3=2/3

so x+3/x+4+3=2/3 from (1)

so x+3/x+7=2/3

ie 3(x+3)=(x+7)×2

ie 3x+9=2x+14

so x=5

substitute value of x in (1)

we get y=9

so our assumed fraction=x/y

=5/9

thus required fraction is 5/9
