Heya !!!

Let numerator and denominator of fraction be. and Y.

According to the question,

Numerator + Denominator = 11

X + Y = 11 --------(1)

Fraction = Numerator/Denominator = X/Y

X + 1 / Y - 2 = 2/3

3 ( X + 1 ) = 2 ( Y - 2 )

3X + 3 = 2Y - 4

3X - 2Y = -4-3

3X - 2Y = -7 -------(2)

From equation (1) we get,

X + Y = 11

X = ( 11 - Y ) ------(3)

Putting the of X in equation (2).

3X - 2Y = -7

3 × ( 11 - Y ) - 2Y = -7

33 - 3Y - 2Y = -7

-5Y = -7-33

-5Y = -40

Y = -40/-5 = 8

Putting the value of Y in equation (3)

X = 11 - Y = 11-8 = 3

Numerator = X = 3

And,

Denominator = Y = 8

Fraction = Numerator/Denominator = 3/8.
