let the numerator and denominator be x and y

given that

x+y=2y+4

x-y=4

3x-3y=12 -----------(a)

(x+3)/(y+3)=2/3

3x+9=2y+6

3×-2y=-3-----------(b)

subtracting (a) and (b)

y=-15

x=-11

please recheck the values of x and y

rowley777: its correct ...thanks a lot
