Given :

⬤ Father age is 4 years more than twice the age of his Son .

⬤ Sum of their ages is 46 years .

To Find :

⬤ Present Age of Son .

Solution :

Let :

  • Age of Son = x
  • Age of Father = 2x + 4

\sf➦\:{x+2x+4=46}

\sf\implies 3x + 4 = 46

 \sf\implies 3x = 46 - 4

\sf\implies 3x = 42

\sf\implies x = 42/3

\bf\implies x = 14

Therefore , The Value of x is 21 .

Hence ,

⇝ \bf Age \: of \:Son = x

⇝ \bf = 14

⇝ \bf Age \:of \:Father = 2x + 4

⇝ \bf = 2(14) + 4

⇝ \bf = 28 + 4

⇝ \bf = 32

Therefore , Age of Son is 14 years and Age of Father is 32 years .
